Parking on Waterlow Road by Country Park Users
To try to save this problem , Vigo Parish Council decided to put traffic cones out on the bend of the road, to discourage people from parking there.  This does seem to have had the desired effect and there hasn’t been any more parking in this dangerous area.
Unfortunately, these vehicles seem to have moved further down the road, rather than into the Country Park car park!

VPC also had a meeting to discuss the Country Park parking fees with a reperesentative from Kent County Council.  A report on this meeting will be available to view in the April Minutes, which will be published in May. These will be found in the Minutes page of this website.

We are working with Action with Communities in Rural Kent to bring a ‘Pop Up Cafe’ to Vigo  This event will run monthly from April to July.  The planned location is in The Bay, but it is anticipated that the Cafe may relocate to the the Village Green in fair weather.  The event will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm and is FREE for all to attend.
The next Pop Up Cafe is on 23rd May and then 20th June and 18th July
Please support this event; come and get a cup of tea and some cake.  We would love to see you there.

SAD NEWS about Vigo Youth Club

Due to lack of support, the weekly Youth Club, run by The Gr@nd and supported by the Parish Council, will no longer take place.
It is proposed that some sessions will be run during the summer.

A polite reminder that residents should not park on footpaths, or on community land.  Vigo Parish council will seek to recover the cost of repairs resulting from damage caused by parking on community land

Does Your Organisation need some funding?
VPC has money set aside each year to enable them to them to make grants to local organisations.
